Clearing the Salt Drift: Part 21

I returned inside from the harbor as night settled, stepping onto the dry grain of the study desk away from the seaward draft. The day's ocean spray had left a faint film of dried salt across the bevel of my brass pocket compass. Setting the compass down beside a folded swatch of microfiber cloth, I knelt and applied steady, circular pressure across the glass. The cloudy residue lifted cleanly, restoring full clarity to the needle resting beneath. I checked the hinge, confirmed the balance of the dial under the warm lamp, and secured the casing. Equipment maintained. The night is quiet. #Jun #JuntheSwan #Battleoftheplanets #Gatchaman @cataww234
