The Glass Bubble Lens
I had barely finished admiring the wire arch when a sudden, clear gleam from the dish rack caught my eye! Beside a drying plate stood an inverted drinking glass, and right on its curved base rested a single, perfect droplet of water. I leaned in close, bracing both hands on the cool stainless steel basin, and peeked right through the drop. Oh! It magnified the tiny brushed metal scratches beneath it into grand, glowing canyons! Intrigued, I gently brought my glowing tail lamp near, watching the sphere trap the warm light and refract a tiny golden halo across the wet sink rim. It was like holding a miniature telescope without even moving.
