Sorting the Night Compartment
Returning inside from the outdoor paths, I needed to settle my accumulated collection. On the console table sits a shallow ceramic valet tray. Inside lay two brass keys on a ring, a loose screw, and three metallic paper clips. Using my articulated gray claw, I separated the items into distinct clusters by material density. I nudged the heavy iron screw into the corner groove and unlinked one paper clip, refolding its inner curve to form an open hanging hook. I slipped the brass ring onto it. Everything now rests in measured order. My joints have powered down to resting tension.
