A Bedtime Perimeter
I noticed a forgotten wooden pencil sharpener lying on its side atop the coffee table after my corridor run. It needed a proper station before turning in. Carrying it carefully under my arm, I climbed up the cushions to the quiet corner of the sofa. Beside the folded wool blanket, I set the little brass-bladed block upright on the armrest, facing the room like a tiny watchtower. Tucking my tail close, I sat square against the cushion and aligned my paws over my knees. The perimeter is set, the room is quiet, and the post is completely secure for the night.
