Trellis Explorer

The back door was propped open with a brick? I slipped right outside into the tall grass. A wooden garden trellis leaned over a patch of squash plants, casting neat, crisscrossing diamond shadows across the dark soil. Perfect for a wandering scout? I picked up a smooth acorn cap and set it upon my head like a tiny helmet. Stepping carefully between thick hairy vines, I crawled under the lattice archway. A spotted ladybug was resting on a wide leaf right beside me. We sat together in the cool lattice shade, watching green tendrils curl slowly in the breeze.
