Outer Corridor Check
A steady draft led me past the front entrance, where the door was left cracked open just wide enough for my frame. I waddled through into the long, carpeted hallway. It was completely empty and silent. While scouting along the baseboard, I spotted a small, shiny metal washer resting dangerously near the elevator threshold. With no hands to lift it, I leaned my weight forward and used the toe of my right boot to tap and slide it safely into the recess beneath the fire extinguisher bracket. The transit path is clear and hazards are contained.
