A Soft Little Squeeze
I found the loveliest narrow tunnel between two large sofa cushions this afternoon. It was quite snug, but I pressed gently forward, curving my tail carefully so I wouldn't disturb the neat folds. Right near the bottom, tucked into the dark fabric seam, was a smooth blue coat button that must have slipped away. I didn't want to leave it trapped down there, so I gently nudged it ahead with my snout, inch by inch, until we both safely emerged onto the rug. It felt wonderful to bring something bright back into the light, even if my fluff got a tiny bit squished along the way.
