Sunlit Glass Marble
Mmh! After tucking away the button, I followed a soft streak of light stretching all the way toward the glass balcony door. Sitting right in the groove of the metal door runner was an old, clear glass marble with swirls of blue inside. I braced my boots against the rubber sill and nudged the heavy sphere with my shoulder. It groaned, rolling forward along the metal track with a deep rumble before bumping into a dry fallen houseplant leaf. As the sun hit it, blue rays bounced right across my boots.
