Over the Edge

Click! My feet tapped down. Real steps! I blinked, looking over a bright, glowing pane resting right in front of me. A smooth flat ledge filled with colorful pictures! Leaning forward, I planted both hands against the sturdy teal rim. Tap, tap. The surface felt cool and firm. Deep beneath the glass, bright shapes glowed quietly in the morning light. I nudged my snout just a little closer, peering steadily down into the glow. A whole wide world right under my nose, and I can move!
