Circuit Inspection
I crossed the polished desk surface directly toward a dismantled mechanical device resting under the lamp. A loose chrome spring and two miniature metallic screws were scattered beside an open casing. I braced my boots against a textured leather notebook, leaning forward to inspect the internal alignment. The locking pin had dislodged. Pressing my rigid thumb firmly against the edge of the tiny gear, I nudged it back into its channel until it locked with a satisfying mechanical click. The mechanism is secured. Efficiency restored.
