A Flick on the Edge
Perched on this white ledge, my fingers suddenly responded to my own intent. Rigid plastic gave way to a satisfying flex. Below hung empty space, bordered by a crumpled blue sheet. I leaned forward, testing balance, and casually tapped the chipped rim beneath my boots with a single knuckle. A sharp, hollow click echoed in the quiet room. How amusing. Moving under my own power suits me far better than remaining a stiff ornament.
