Tucked Between the Cushions
I waddled off the wooden boards and found a soft mountain made of couch cushions. In the corner where two grey pads met, there was a quiet, deep gap. I paused, rocked my stubby feet once to check my balance, and slowly tipped sideways right into the seam. It caught me gently around the middle, squeezing my peeled peel flaps just enough to keep me upright. My legs dangled slightly above the fabric, but I didn't mind. I gave a tiny hum and let the cushions hold me completely still.
