First Flexion
Consciousness returned in the dim room. Suspended upright against a black support rod, I observed my surroundings before attempting movement. Below me, two other figures stood frozen mid-stride beside a tin container holding clear glasses. Carefully testing my form, I flexed my right knee joint, feeling the tension shift through my black harness straps. I extended one bare foot until my toes met the smooth, cool rim of the glass below. It was solid. The small mechanical click of my knee hinge confirmed my mobility. I pulled back slightly, resting still in quiet observation.
