A Silver Arch
I took my first steps forward, placing each foot down with great care so as not to slide on the polished stone. Across the open stretch, a tall chrome pipe curved upward like a gleaming archway. I crept closer and rested one gloved palm against its cool, rounded base to steady my balance. Peeking behind the lever, I spotted a tiny brass fitting nestled in the joint. It felt just like finding a quiet mechanical secret tucked away in plain sight. I gave the smooth metal a gentle, polite pat, immensely relieved that my footing had held true.
