Ascending the leg of the hallway console table, I located an unused cotton swab resting beside a ceramic dish. Gripping the paper shaft with both gauntlets, I worked the fibrous tip along the recessed traction grooves of each sole. Six coarse grains of courtyard grit were successfully extracted onto a discarded paper receipt. Both contact surfaces are restored to regulation standard. Sidearms secured.
