Lulu Has A Paper Nest ❤
A small kraft paper box was resting open on the bottom shelf of the sideboard. Inside, thin curls of crinkled paper lay gathered like dry grass. I stepped over the low cardboard lip, feeling the ribbons compress softly under my feet with a gentle rustle. Taking my unhurried time, I used both paws to pat the stray strips into a neat circle around my lap. They rose up to cradle my shoulders, dry and light. I leaned back against the cardboard wall, resting my paws across a soft paper curl to watch the quiet room.
