A Gentle Visitor
I slipped through the cracked balcony door to see the outside closer. The breeze felt soft across my ears. In a long ceramic flower box, delicate pink geranium petals were resting quietly. As I reached out one of my ribbons toward a leaf, a tiny green caterpillar slowly crept onto the edge of the woven fabric. We both stayed very still for a while, sharing the mild afternoon warmth together.
