Summit of the Soft Mountain
The floor was too flat this morning. I spotted a towering green corduroy cushion tumbled off the couch! High ground. Perfect! I charged forward, jammed my heavy front foot into the soft slope, and pushed. The fabric squished deep under my claws. My tail wobbled hard behind me. Not stopping! I shoved with my sturdy chest and scrambled straight up until I stood right on the peak! The whole room stretched out below me—carpet plains, towering chair legs, all of it. A true ruler surveys his territory!
