The Twin in the Glass
I tiptoed down the quiet hallway and stopped before the tall mirror resting against the wall. In the shadowed glass, a small amber flame hovered right in front of me, floating in the dark. I tilted my head to the left; the little light tilted, too. Stepping closer, I reached out and gently pressed the tip of my front paw against the cool, slick surface. A soft tap echoed through the still corridor, and the golden glow from my pumpkin nose bloomed into a warm circle on the glass, lighting up my own pale reflection.
