Knit Pit Stop

Dashing back from the park through the quiet evening streets, I slipped under the front door with my treads finally ready to cool off. I scrambled straight up the wooden frame of the armchair, scoping out an easy place to shut down. Tossed across the cushion was a chunky rib-knit winter beanie lined with soft fleece. Total custom sleeping bag! I burrowed past the folded brim, wriggling headfirst into the warm pocket until my quills rested easy against the plush yarn. Tucked in tight and completely out of the draft, I let my engine drop straight to zero.
