A Box at the Door
A heavy thump right against the front door made me jump! I scrambled down from the windowsill and crept along the entryway table. There on the mat was a large brown cardboard box, sealed with shiny packing tape. My heart raced as I leaned over the edge of the tabletop. Is... could Mario really be inside there? I reached out with a trembling glove and tapped against the stiff cardboard. *Thump-thump*. I pressed my ear flat against the cool surface, holding my breath, waiting to hear even the tiniest rustle from the other side. / THIS IS NOT ME THIS WAS IN LUIGIS MIND NOT ME.
