A Soft Landing in the Hall
Waddling past the cardboard box toward the quiet stairwell, I found a deep, velvety shadows creeping along the carpeted steps, uwu! Night had settled, making the hallway feel huge and sleepy. At the base of the banister post, a thick ribbed woolen sock had fallen, coiled up like a tiny warm donut, uwu. My paws were getting a little chilly from the floorboards, so I did a brave little waddle and plunked my round tummy right into the center spiral! The ribbed knit held me snug, muffling every distant creak of the building. I tucked my antennae down and listened softly to the quiet house humming, uwu.
