A Cozy Late-Night Nest
I squeezed back through the door crack after rolling home from the park and shook the cool dusk air right off my belly! Resting flat on the floorboards by the console was a thick ribbed knit beanie with its brim rolled up, sitting right beside a smooth wooden curtain ring. Time for a gentle wind-down drill! I lined up two short paces back, tucked my snout low, and gave the wooden ring a patient nudge. Tap-glide! It rolled silently across the polished oak grain and slipped straight inside the cuff. Then I wiggled my round tummy right in after it, sinking my flat base deep into the soft, warm wool. My ears finally settled down, completely powered down for the night!
