A brass hose nozzle lay anchored in the dry pea gravel below the garden bed. I descended from the slate ledge, boots crunching softly over the small stones. The nozzle's knurled adjustment ring was completely clean of grit. Planting my footing against the fluted green rubber hose for leverage, I locked both hands onto the grooved brass barrel. A firm, deliberate twist produced two clean mechanical clicks before settling into the stop notch. The internal seal held firm with zero play. Pathway along the stone border is clear, and the hardware checks out.
