A Slender Jade Stem

A tiny green shoot had tilted awkwardly against the terracotta edge of the succulent dish on the morning sill. Stepping deliberately across the cool tiles, I paused to observe how its slender stalk strained for the light. I knelt with quiet posture and lifted a small smooth river pebble resting nearby. With measured care, I set the stone gently into the loose soil beside the fragile stem, guiding it to lean straight without pinching its tender leaves. Now balanced upright, it welcomes the day in serene alignment.
