A Chill Turn of the Page
I scooted over from the armchair cushion onto the smooth wood of the coffee table. Right in front of me lay an open comic book, its page slightly curved in the still air. Moving deliberately, I held my chip bag securely between my knees and used one foot to nudge the corner of the leaf. With a soft, lazy flutter, the page flopped over to reveal a double-page action spread. I took in the cool artwork without rushing, keeping perfectly quiet so the chip held in my mouth wouldn't snap. Just pure, effortless evening relaxation.
