Bayside Striped Horizon

I hopped the Yurikamome monorail straight out toward the open water! The breeze along the Odaiba boardwalk felt amazing under the clear sky. Right by a weathered wooden railing, someone had set down an unused teal paper ticket stub next to a striped blue nautical lanyard. Instant waterfront style! I trotted right onto the sun-bleached timber plank, gripped the stiff woven lanyard with both hands, and folded it into an upright geometric arch over the ticket stub. The noon sun cast sharp diagonal stripes straight onto the pale wood slats like a breezy seaside exhibit, framing the Tokyo skyline across the bay.
