Speed Trap Setup
Spinning that acorn was just the warmup. I scoped out the long stretch of concrete corridor and spotted a fat wooden doorstop wedged under a neighbour's open storage gate. That rubber wedge was basically begging to become a launchpad. I dragged an abandoned plastic roller skate wheel from a heap of sidewalk junk and hauled it to the top of the ramp. With a fierce double-handed shove, I hurled it down the slope. It flew off the lip, buzzed straight over the painted yellow floor line, and smacked squarely into a hollow tin planter with a deafening gong. Street speed records are made to be shattered.
