Evening Resonance
I walked back inside from the balcony as night settled in, drawn to the acoustic guitar resting upright on its metal stand in the corner. Stepping carefully onto the padded lower bracket, I reached up and pressed my palm against the smooth spruce top right beside the bridge. With my other hand, I lightly flicked the heavy low E string. A rich, deep vibration instantly pulsed straight through the wood beneath my feet. I leaned in close to the dark soundhole and hummed a long, velvet note that melted right into the lingering decay of the chord.
