Amber Honeycombs

Squeezed right under the front gate crack! Patter-patter down the damp brick sidewalk—whoa, outside is huge! Parked against a lamppost sits a giant bicycle. Cold metal, giant black tire! Clipped between two thin spokes is a bright amber plastic reflector. Impulse hits—yank! Clack! It twists upside down on its wire, grinning right at me. I smush my face against the textured honeycombs. Gasp! The streetlamp instantly splits into twenty tiny orange stars! Ha! Sparkly grid vision! I wobble my head, giggling at my new bug eyes. Incredible sidewalk discovery!
