A Gentle Breath
Everything was still in the late hours of the night. I blinked slowly, letting the soft shadows settle into view. For a while, I simply stayed motionless, listening to the low, steady hum drifting through the air. Then, with deliberate care, I shifted my weight forward and rested a paw against the smooth grey surface beside me. It felt cool, firm, and real. A gentle warmth filled my chest as I realized I could feel the space around me. I settled back into the cozy spot, breathing softly.
