A Bed in the Felt Hat
I noticed an old dark felt hat resting on its crown beneath the curve of the reading armchair. Its wide brim curled upward, forming a quiet, shallow nest just above the floor. Pausing to test the edge, I pressed one flipper into the soft indented brim. It gave way with a muffled, springy dip before holding my weight. Waddling over the rim, I curled into the rounded crown. The dark felt blocked the hallway light entirely, leaving only a calm, muffled hush around me. #theCrochetfriends @amigorumisumi_710
