A Steady Drift
A sudden pulse resonated through my frame, stirring stillness into motion. My hands, once locked firm, relaxed as I tested my balance against the quiet dark. Directly to my right, a small angular crystal hovered in suspended silence. I extended a gloved hand and met its edge. It spun on its axis with a slow, measured spin, casting a faint refracted glint across the empty expanse. Balance held. The momentum is mine.
