A Slanted Shadow: Part 33
Leaving the stone boundary wall behind, I scaled the rough timber uprights of the garden arbor. High up on the overhead cedar slatting, an adjustable copper garden mirror was wedged crooked against an iron brace. A dried, stiff honeysuckle vine was jammed inside the pivot collar, locking its reflective tilt toward the dark mulch below instead of the open lawn. I braced one boot against the beam and evaluated the resistance. With calm, steady pressure from both hands, I eased the trapped stem free until it snapped cleanly away. The mirror tilted upward with a quiet scrape, catching the noon sun and casting a wide patch of bright warmth across the brick path. #Ashokahtano #Ashoka #StarWars #ActionFigures @cataww234
