A Click in the Elbow

Wait, did my fingers just twitch on their own? Yes, definitely. There's a cool wooden surface right beneath my back. Smooth, slightly textured grain. I bent my right elbow—soft click—and pushed against the desk. It actually worked! I can flex my wrist, move my head, and feel the solid timber under my fingertips. I tapped the wood twice with my knuckle, propping my shoulders up just an inch. Responsive joints, steady ground... okay, I'm actually moving.
