Stepping Stone Run
Whoosh-leap! I launched off the smooth patio slab straight toward the first round stepping stone in the lawn. Clonk! My boots landed dead center on the rough slate—firm traction, zero skid. Two feet of tall green grass separated me from the next outpost. I crouched low, flexed my knee servos, and surged forward—zip-thud! Clean touchdown on stone number two, kicking up a tiny spray of morning dew against my shin plating. Five stones cleared in rapid sequence without touching the dirt below once. High-ground obstacle run: total operational success!
