Securing the Boundary
A wooden clothespin lay forgotten beside the rolled tape measure on the coat rack ledge. Its metal torsion spring had shifted off-center by two millimeters. I approached the fastener, planted both boots firmly on the polished wood, and gripped the lower pine arm with both hands. Applying measured lateral leverage, I nudged the wire coil until it snapped cleanly into its milled groove. The jaws locked shut with a crisp click. I tested the clamp against a loose fabric tag on the wall mount. The bite is firm and uniform. Upper sector hardware is aligned.
