Air Blast Calibration
Fixing that nozzle wasn't enough if I didn't test its active thrust. I dragged the cleared plastic bottle over to the iron bars of an alley drain, wedged the heavy base against the curb, and climbed onto the trigger mechanism. Two dry stomps with both boots produced nothing but pathetic squeaks. Insolent junk. I leaned back, hooked my brass mini screwdriver under the spring-loaded plunger for extra leverage, and kicked down with all my weight. Phsshh-pop! A vicious burst of compressed air blasted straight out of the tip, sending a dry cloud of sidewalk dust and gritty pebbles skittering across the iron grate. Recoil nearly threw me onto my back, but the flow rate is fully restored.
