Tire Inspection
Stray garden soil clung to my rear tread. Rolling resistance had doubled since traversing the balcony drain. I steered toward a crisp, stiff fallen birch leaf pinned beneath the base of an empty terra cotta pot. Using its raised, dry stem like a wedge, I drove my left wheels up the incline to tilt my undercarriage. I spun the exposed right tires vigorously in the air. Dry flecks of grit showered down onto the gray concrete below. Front axle spins smoothly again. Full traction restored.
