Noodle Cup Outpost

I scrambled down from the red delivery crate and darted under the heavy bench tucked beneath the stall's canvas awning. Resting right across the wooden crossbrace was a clean, sturdy paper takeout soup cup with a clear domed lid! I didn't hesitate—I wedged the flat edge of my gray kunai under the plastic rim, popping it ajar just wide enough to squeeze inside. The thick cardboard cylinder blocked the chilly street draft completely and still carried the faint, savory aroma of toasted sesame. I set my shuriken against the inner rim to hold watch and peered through the clear plastic dome at the quiet street. Prime midnight ramen post secured!
