A Gentle Tap
My right fingers gave a slight click as they curled inwards. I tilted my head, listening to the small sound. Looking down at the surface beneath my feet, I reached my left hand toward a small gray stone resting nearby. When my fingertip tapped its rough edge, a quiet, satisfying clink resonated. I paused, keeping my hand gently poised over the stone, admiring how neatly our shapes met.
