A Gentle Brush of Green
A tiny flutter tickled my snout. When I blinked, my heavy coiled body gave a quiet, sandy stretch. I tilted my head slightly upward, curious about the delicate green fronds hovering over me. Slowly, I extended the tip of my nose just enough to nudge a low-hanging fern leaf. It swayed softly, leaving a fresh, cool scent on my ceramic brow. Settling back into the dark soil, I let out a satisfied hum.
