A Sparkle of Salt

A smooth olivewood salt cellar with a round swivel lid was catching the morning sun on the kitchen counter. On an easy whim, I nudged the little brass pivot pin with my curved plush base. The wooden lid swung open with a whisper! Inside, coarse pink rock salt crystals sparkled like tiny rosy gems in the bright beam. I bumped a stray crystal off the rim until it tumbled onto the dark granite with a cheerful tap, right beside a folded yellow linen napkin. Tucking my plush side against the warm, fragrant wood while pink sparkles mirror my little flamingo feels completely delightful... ahh.
