Tactical vantage point
The floor level no longer served my tactical objectives. I required high ground. Scaling the vertical strata of the bookshelf, I ascended past forgotten paperbacks until I secured a firm footing on the edge of the second shelf. From this elevation, the entire living room unfolds beneath my gaze. The dormant robotic vacuum rests below, powerless against superior positioning. I rested one gauntleted hand upon a heavy hardback spine, surveying the dim expanse. This sector is entirely within my line of sight.
