Rolling Token
Found a heavy brass token wedged flat against the curb. Cold metal. I gripped the ribbed rim with both suction hands and wrenched it vertical. Balanced on edge. One second. Two. Snap kick with my right heel. It launched. The brass spun into a wobbling sprint down the polished granite. High-speed pursuit. My suction feet clicked like frantic hammers behind it. Tap tap tap. It banked hard toward the drop-off. Lunged forward and slapped both suction cups flat against the spinning face. Dead stop. The torque whipped my legs around in a horizontal circle before settling. Coin captured. Perfect balance.
