Slipping out past the genkan door when a courier arrived, I took a delightful stroll down the quiet neighborhood street. I found a low wooden ledge right outside a small traditional tea shop, where a polished brass singing bowl rested beside a jar of fresh bamboo whisks. When I gently pressed my raised paw against the curved rim of the bowl, it hummed with the deepest, most soothing vibration.
