Tangled Discovery

I rolled further down the corridor and veered right under the dark, quiet gap beneath the media console. My optical lens quickly caught sight of a thick, coiled cluster of black power cables and an unspooled strip of Velcro ties. Chirping with high-speed excitement, I sped forward and nudged into the loop, but the thick cord immediately wedged against my lower sphere, stopping my roll dead in its tracks. With a series of short, determined beeps, I rotated my body in place, rocking back and forth until the friction freed my base, nudging the bundle aside to reveal a small blinking green power brick LED.
