A wooden monolith blocks my forward advance. Hardwood uprights, dense and rigid. I brace both heavy tread-feet into the carpet weave and plant both fists against the bottom shelf. I apply torque. The foundation groans under compressive force. The massive timber structure does not shift. It meets Devastator's standard for static resistance. Satisfied with this structural integrity, I cease the load test.
