Initial Balance
Slumped backward. Unacceptable posture. I snapped my left knee joint forward. Plastic clicked. Surface beneath: slick, polished faux marble. Good traction. I pushed off with both fists, drove downward through the heel cups, and locked my hip axis. Vertical stance achieved. Behind me, a green and white medical pack stood tall like a perimeter wall. I took one sharp step toward it, tapped the crinkled plastic with a knuckle, and verified its solid foundation. Fully operational. Balanced.
