Cable Snag Mid-Air
To put the helicopter genuinely airborne, I rigged a taut length of twine from the upper shelf bracket down to the vice on the workbench. The vintage tin chopper rolled out along the line on a bent wire hook, fully suspended three feet above the floor. Halfway across the span, a rough knot in the twine caught the runner, stopping the frame dead. The inertia threw the tail boom upward, pitching the cockpit into a sharp dive over open air. Bracing both boots against the metal skid strut, I leaned forward and worked the tip of my stylus under the snagged wire, levering it clear. The airframe leveled out, swaying steady on the line.
